Det er muligt at lave tidsforsinket start på Viking Bio 20, forhandler og installatør af dem foreslår 10 min forsinkelse pr. 100l vand i varmesystemet. Jeg har dog en tilføjelse til dette efter at have besøgt en anden Viking Bio 20 ejer Nordenfjords, hvor han havde haft succes med at bruge den maksimale forsinkelse på 135 minutter med kun en 160l Metroterm combi.
De har solceller og noget af strømoverskuddet sendes i Vvbén - men på følgende måde. I højsommeren er fyret helt slukket og her er det strøm som giver varmt vand. Resten af tiden varmer fyret vvbén op til 75 celsius, og de 225m2 gulvvarme (huset fra '75 er i et plan og har en kælder på 75m2 der fungerer som både garage, værksted og fyrrum) - på en kold vinterdag har han typisk 4 starter, med ild i cirka 1½-2 timer og brænderen står på 15kw og kører efter termostaten på Pellmax kedlen. De få gange de har manglet varmt brugsvand, fordi Viking Bioen står i forsinket start modus, har de tændt for elvarmelegemet, og slukket det igen efter brug. Huset har en enkelt brændeovn og efterisoleret da solcellerne kom på for 3 år siden, pillefyret har kørt på den måde siden solcellerne kom op uden problemer. Forbruget er knap 5 ton årligt + træ til brændeovn.
Synes det var en simpel måde at integrere solcellerne i varmesystemet på, og få antallet af starter ned uden buffertank.
