Some PellMon news, lots of stuff have been added in the last year:
PellMon is now almost trivially easy to install on a raspberry pi: https://github.com/motoz/PellMon/wiki/H ... %20PellMon
And is much easier to configure with the web based configuration file editor pellmonconf:
Has a version number, releases and a changelog: https://github.com/motoz/PellMon/releases
Upgrading howto: https://github.com/motoz/PellMon/wiki/H ... de-PellMon

Re: Raspberry Pi
No you won't lose a thing if you follow the upgrade instructions. But beware that the .deb package does not work on the old raspbian wheezy release, it requires the new raspbian jessie release. Unfortunately there is no official way to upgrade raspbian from wheezy to jessie (assuming you have the old wheezy release since jessie was released sometime last autumn). You can still do a manual install on wheezy if you install the missing dependency (argcomplete) with pip. A safe way to try the new version with no risk is to install on a new sd-card and then move over the database and config file, see: https://github.com/motoz/PellMon/wiki/B ... ve-PellMon
